Ecodesign Directive 2009/125/EC Regulation (EU) No 1253/2015 interpretation
Ecodesign Directive defines the minimum requirements for the machines sold in the EU.
If a written order for ventilation units or heat recovery equipment is made in the year 2015 or earlier, the product has been made available on the market and it can be physically delivered after the end of the year in spite of the requirement changes that would enter into force as of 01.01.2016.
Ventilation machines are divided into two main categories based on their intended use.
RVU machines are ventilation machines intended only for residential buildings and NRVU machines are meant other uses than for residential buildings.
Technical requirements for NRVU machines
(Non-Residental Ventilation unit = machines used for other purposes than for residential buildings)
All of the ventilation systems shall have heat recovery. The minimum efficiency limits depending on the heat recovery technology used:
– hydronic LTO:t 1.1.2016 nt ≥ 63% and 1.1.2018 nt ≥ 68%
– other than hydronic LTO:t 1.1.2016 nt ≥ 67% and 1.1.2018 nt ≥ 73%
In addition, there must be:
– specific power input SPFint
– The fan speed of rotation required
– thermal bypass of HRU
All our RTEK by Energent machines are equipped with e-marking which already meet the year 2018 requirements.
We have developed the cross power plate machines in such a way that their life-cycle will continue at least until the end of 2017 and they meet the requirements that enter into force on 01.01.2016.
